Poem

Art thou blest ?

“Blessing” is one word in the Christian world that is highly misinterpreted and misunderstood. My mentor rightly observed this in one of his articles: The meaning for the words “BLESSING”, “SUCCESS” and ”PROSPERITY” is so badly twisted that, many Christians understand these words in the same context as the unbelievers do. It’s important we know the truth. And no one could have defined blessing better and more rightly than Jesus Christ our Lord did. This poem highlights this.

Blessed are the poor in spirit
The Kingdom of Heaven they shall inherit !
Blessed are they that are unjustly reviled
In the world to come, they shall be hailed !
Watch out what song you sing :
The wealth you have is not at all a blessing !
For, it shall surely one day depart
when the last beat sounds in your heart !
True blessing is a heart filled with Jesus
Not a bed full of roses !
Peace with God is the greatest treasure
Its worth, none can measure !
