A poem comparing and contrasting Jesus’ first and second coming.
The first time, Jesus came to do away with sin
The second time, He’ll come to do away with sinners
The first time, Jesus did not come for the righteous
The second time, He’ll be coming for the righteous
The first time, Jesus came to show us the Father’s Love
The second time, He’ll come for those who love the Father
The first time, Jesus made the only way from Hell to Heaven
The second time, He’ll close the only way forever
The first time, Jesus came as the Lamb of God
The second time, He’ll come as the Lion of Judah
The first time, Jesus did not break even a bruised reed (Isa 42:3)
The second time, He’ll rule over nations with an Iron Rod (Rev 19:15)
The first time, Jesus came to save us from the wrath to come
The second time, people will hide to try escape His wrath (Rev 6:16-17)
The first time, Jesus calmed the storms and seas
The second time, the Earth will quake and Heavens will shake
The first time, kings and rulers plotted to kill Jesus
The second time, Kings and rulers will hide from Him (Rev 6:15)
The first time, Satan tempted Jesus sore
The second time, well… you know what!
