We, as Christians, are called to a higher hope – that One Great Day when we’ll be set free from the body of sin and the world of destruction to go and live with our Lord Jesus Christ forever. O Lord, I pray that we would never lose sight of this hope! If we start looking up to earthly pleasures, the eternal hope will start fading from our hearts and we’ll start drifting gradually in a worldly direction.
O blessed hope that is in Christ Jesus !
One day, I’ll behold Him face to face
And never depart from His dwelling place !
O what a high calling I have in Christ !
When my time ends, I shall be fully healed
of sin and behold His Glory fully revealed !
O the assurance I have in the Lord !
Those that the Father has given to His Son,
None can snatch! No! Not even one !
O the great event I look forward to !
The Son will raise me up on that Great day !
When I behold Him, O what more can I say !
